Fashion trends that make beauty skin-deep
The fashion industry has long been criticised for the selective exclusion of black models. Until the late 1960s, no black woman had appeared on the cover of a mainstream US woman's magazine.
Race bias attack on top model agency
Some of the senior figures within Elite - the agency which counts Naomi Campbell as one of its greatest assets - were filmed calling blacks "niggers" and saying that Africa would be "a great country if they were all white".
Twitches on the left
As a socialist society affiliated to the Labour party, members of the SHA, know this only too well. Some supporters of this eclectic group of party members and fellow-travellers were lobbying for a national health service long before such an institution was believed politically credible or economically possible.
